Angel Girl Ragdolls can have colors including Lilac, Chocolate, Blue, Seal, Red, Cream, Tortie, Mink and White Ragdoll Kittens.

We test our Angel Ragdoll parents for FIV/FeLV, and heart murmurs. We also strive to test all the parents (testing submitted to Washington State University or UC-Davis) for HCM, PKD, COLOR DNA TESTED, and AB blood typed. Each cat has it's own list of tests clearly stated under their name and picture. We know of no one else who tests as extensively as we do to ensure the health and long-life of your companion and best friend. Most breeders do not perform testing, or are just beginning to test for HCM. PKD is not approved for Ragdolls yet, and has provided some false positives. So, currently it is not a reliable test, but we still strive to test the parents.

Ragdolls have become the fastest growing and most desirable breed of cat according to the Cat Fancy register.

Ragdoll kittens and cats are gorgeous, large, semi-longhaired cats with non-matting bunny soft fur and amazing blue eyes. They love humans and are more of a friend than a pet. They are called the "dog" of the cat world.

They are eager to please, laid back, loyal, smart, non-aggressive, beautiful, relatively quiet, and require very little maintenance. For this reason, they have become the latest pet sensation of the stars, and their popularity has soared with apartment and city dwellers alike. All kittens are raised in our bedroom with constant care.

Angel Girl Ragdoll Cattery is located in the Nation's Capitol; otherwise known as the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

We are dedicated to working on bringing back the recessive and dilute colors in the Ragdoll Breed, with genetics always in mind. We offer some of the most gorgeous Ragdolls and ship worldwide. We provide Ragdolls in lilac and chocolate, and frequently have lilacs that appear almost all white. Even our seals, blues, reds, creams, torties, and lynxes can produce lilac kittens.

So You Want a Healthy, Friendly Angel?

When looking for a place to purchase the newest member of your family, please consider breeders with FEWER cats, who raise only a few litters per year, and who keeps their premises immaculate and the cats well fed, uncrowded and happy. Small family hobby breeders are your best best. Remember the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words?" Closely inspect pictures for cages, dirty bedding, crusty eyes, sad faces, saggy coats, dirty walls, etc.

If the kittens are given room to roam and receive early socialization by humans, then they will be friendly and have the lowest possible risk of disease and health problems. Not all breeders are alike... Do the pictures look like the cats are comfortable in the environment where the pictures were taken? Are there pictures showing kitties in the living spaces of the home? Do they appear to have clean food and water? Do they use good nutricious food? Do all the cats look healthy and happy? Truthfully, the only way to make money in breeding is to have tons of cats. Breeders with tons of cats have to cage the cats; this affects their personality. We primarily sell kittens, not breeders, as we are passionate about our cats having a wonderful, cage-free life. Feel free to ask us our opinion of any Ragdoll you are considering for adoption. We are big fans of Rescue a Ragdoll too. We have a link to them on our links page.

Another thing that you could check on is whether the breeder you are considering is spending the extra money to test their breeders for FeLV, FIV, HCM, PKD, heart murmurs, blood type and color. It is a fairly new process, but most reputable breeders are beginning to test their breeding cats. Request copies of the tests prior to purchasing a kitten. If they list that a test has been performed on their website, they should be willing to provide you with copies of the tests listed.

Cats WILL get sick from time to time just like humans, but the majority of them should look healthy in a household. It is unrealistic to expect for a breeder to have never encountered some sort of parasite or illness, so don't expect perfection. All living creatures fall prey to getting sick; it is part of building immunity to one's environment.
